DETECTIVES have issued CCTV footage which they hope will lead them to the man suspected of raping a teenager near the British Museum.
They said the victim, 19, was dragged to a doorway in Museum Street and raped after getting off a bus at 2.15am on Saturday January 9.
Police have issued two stills of the suspect and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
DCI Carl Metha said: “We have an extremely traumatised victim now being supported by specially trained officers and workers from a haven, and we want to catch the dangerous suspect in this case as soon as possible.
Anyone with any information is urged to call the incident room on 020 7421 0302.
