POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 61-year-old woman was hit by a bus at a pedestrian crossing.
The incident in Tottenham Court Road, outside the Grafton Hotel, occurred at about 5.30pm on Saturday January 14.
The unnamed woman, who suffered head injuries, was taken to St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, where she died on Saturday January 28.
Her next of kin have been informed.
Detective Sergeant Stephen Pidgeon said: “The collision happened close to Warren Street tube station at a busy time of day.
“There may be many people who saw the collision but did not realise how serious it was and I would encourage them to contact us so that we can establish the exact circumstances of this lady’s death.”

The driver of the bus stopped at the scene; he was not arrested.
