News In Brief - Flood causes street closure

PARTS of Oxford Street closed to traffic this week to allow repaving of areas damaged by flooding when a water main ruptured have been reopened.

A 24-inch pipe burst in Oxford Street, at its junction with Park Street, at 8.30pm last Thursday, causing damage estimated at around £1million.
