News In Brief - Pride chair to step down

THE chairman of the country’s largest Gay Pride event has announced he will stand down after 18 years in the role.

Pride London’s vice-chairman Dr Patrick Williams will take over from Paul Birrell as until the organisation’s board decides on a permanent appointment.
