Rock and Pop: Review - School of Seven Bells - Scala

OTHER-WORLDLY Brooklyn trio School of Seven Bells blew us away at Scala last Tuesday.

Supported by Active Child (choirboy-turned-indie pop singer-songwriter Pat Grossi), the faultless vocals of identical twins Alejandra and Claudia Deheza were a sight to behold.

If it wasn’t for Alejandra’s passionate performance, it would be hard to believe that her effortless singing was live.

The entrancing set was made up of new songs from second album Disconnect From Desire but included a few tracks from debut Alpinism – all well-received by a mesmerised crowd. An atmospheric and completely uplifting performance.
