• Free tickets are on offer for a dance and martial arts spectacular featuring “Korea’s answer to Michael Caine”. Kim Sung-Won, a veteran star of the South Korea screen, will be playing the lead role of Hahraam in Another Sun at Sadler’s Wells on August 27 and 28. • The respected King’s Cross-based Y Touring Company is looking to recruit budding young actors for a new play about body image. Anyone aged 14-19 is invited to get involved. The project is being supported by the Wellcome Collection and the Bloomsbury Festival. There are a number of free places available. • Two dramatically different plays are set to transfer from a small Camden stage to Hoxton’s Courtyard Theatre. The Trials of Frankie Flynn, a comedy, and Belfast Girl , a hard-hitting drama, played to sell-out audiences when they were staged at the London Irish Theatre in Camden Square. Artistic director John Dunne told me the theatre had attracted record-breaking crowds in recent months. 

“We have proved that we can grow our audiences,” he said. Belfast Girl is timely, coming as it does in the wake of the Saville Report on the Bloody Sunday Inquiry. It will play at the Courtyard Theatre, 40 Pitfield Street, N1, from September   7-12. The Trials of Frankie Flynn opens at the Courtyard on August 31 and runs for a week.
